About the role (1-year contractor)
This role is responsible for the local market brand development (Japan) strives to drive success and growth, to increase demand at the distributor, retailers, and trade customers’ level. This will include the customization of global / regional brand strategies into activities / programs, that ladder up to volume and value budgets
Align customer marketing initiatives with brand and market priorities through collaboration with brand marketing, commercial teams, and external partners in annual planning processes
Integrating On Premise, Off Premise and E-Commerce programs into a comprehensive brand plan and strategy
Utilizing insights to develop shopper marketing initiatives that address the fundamental needs of specific market and retail partners
Developing programs that provide a source of differentiation for different channels and retail partners
Creating intuitive, straightforward programs that provide both information and education to consumers / shoppers
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication, direction and execution of strategies and marketing programs
Specific tasks:
Manage market level P&L, with relevant Commercial stakeholders (Regional Sales Manager / Country Manager / Business Manager / Key Account Manager) including volume & value targets for specific programs, A&P budgeting, SOH reporting, and PO management
Monitor market performance to identify risks and opportunities and create plans against them
Manage agency relationships – BTL & Experiential, to achieve best results as well seeking to bring new ideas to the table
Utilize return on investment (ROI) models for all activities to manage profitability
Closely monitor execution of key programs to capture leanings and drive for continuous improvement
Develop and execute luxury programs to elevate brand positioning
Track and analyse monthly depletions against targets and plan activities to address trends
Responsible for complying with company policies, procedures
About you
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on marketing and business
Luxury brand management or trade marketing experience preferred, minimum 5+ years in the relates business environment
Prior experience in Wines & Spirits or luxury industry is an advantage
Regional / market wide experience will be beneficial
Strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day grind to help reach marketing and sales goals, create a stronger brand, and improve the brand experience
Good understanding of various marketing and sales touchpoints
Experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns and programs that drive sell through and depletions
Proficient skills set and experience in budget controls, evaluations, analytics, and interpretation to determine marketing effectiveness and ROIs
Strong project management & planning skills; excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task while managing cross functional demands
Ability to build, manage and maintain effective stakeholder relationship, experience in managing agencies
Fluency in English
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a clear and confident communicator who can build and nurture strong relationships and work with cross-functional teams
