About the role

  • Priority focus in relationship management and ensure delivery of exceptional customer service, from recruitment and acquisition, through to the development and retention of the Luxury and High Net Worth clients.

  • Responsible to grow and nurture high potential corporate, luxury brands and fine wine retailers’ partnerships while activating and building opportunities to grow the luxury portfolio.

  • Develop engagement plans and sales strategies to enhance awareness and experiences with our luxury portfolio.

  • Host tastings and consumer experiences to unlock opportunities with new and existing partnerships.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and key distributors to provide white glove and high-quality concierge service to bring exceptional experience to the clients and customers.

  • Development of high net worth consumer engagement and sales plan – deliver sales to target

  • Host corporate tastings on site and external.

  • Host or support “money can’t buy” wine events, including with Brand Ambassadors.

  • Develop fine wine relationship with networks that service High Net Worth consumers such as banking, professional services, real estate developers, luxury fashion, luxury cars & watches.

  • Achieve agreed growth targets through effective leadership of sales and indirectly cross functional teams.

  • Lead customer relationship management for all strategic accounts. Working with Business Managers to identify opportunities and implement strategies (internally and externally).

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure best in class execution, and significantly ramp up our in-store availability and presence across all domestic markets and use shopper insights where relevant to drive category captaincy with fine wine customers.

  • Manage and develop relationships with senior level account contacts.

  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with Penfolds’ strategic customers and stakeholders across wine industry and organisations.

About you

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Economics or similar discipline, or equivalent

  • WSET (level 2 is required, level 3 is preferred) or similar wine education required

  • Experience in FMCG, preferably in the wine industry

  • Drive for results

  • Building strong relationships, good collaborator

  • High standards of commercial excellence and commitment to deliver results

  • Proven experience of private clientele management

  • Passionate for fine wine and spirits, keen to build expertise and pursue knowledge of the category

  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills; excellent written and verbal communications are key priorities

  • A proven track record of performance and delivery
